CELEBRATING THE JOURNEY

Some Significant Events for 2005

  • In May, the Province will mark the landing of the four pioneer Sisters in 1855 with a private Mass at Notre Dame University in Fremantle. Click here for images of the event...

  • Also in May, the Library of the Catholic Education Office will feature a display covering the life and work of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition in Australia over the last 150 years. Click here for images of the event...

  • On June 12th, the usual 11am Mass at St Patrick’s Basilica, Fremantle, will highlight the 150 years of the Sisters’ presence in Australia. All friends and associates of the Sisters are invited to celebrate with them at this Mass. Click here for images of the event...

  • In August there will be a gathering for relatives of past and present Sisters. Click here for images of the event

    Also in August, Seton Catholic College will celebrate their Patronal Feastday Eucharist with the Sisters present, to honour their part in the foundation of that school. Click here for images of the event

  • In September, as part of our celebrations, the Province invited Sr Zina Schaker to share her expertise with us in a 5-day seminar based on “Women in Scripture”. Click here for images of the event
  • November will see a special pilgrimage by the Sisters to commemorate the four Founding Sisters, and all those deceased members of the Australian Province who followed them down through the intervening years. Click here for images of the event
