The Delegation of the Srs of St Joseph of the Apparition celebrated their 50 Years in Thailand on October 1st 2011.

The celebrations began the evening before with a special liturgical prayer for Sisters and Candidates at the convent; then the occasion was marked the next day by a Golden Jubilee Mass celebrated by the Bishop and many visiting priests in the Ubon Cathedral, with a congregation comprised of local and many visiting people. These included Sisters from Australia, and people of the Kariang tribe in the hills, whose children are looked after by our Sisters in Mae Na Chon and Chiang Mai. The choir, under the musical direction of Sr Suchada, included local people, 69 seminarians, and Candidates who board under the care of the Sisters.

After the ceremony, a very special lunch was served to invited guests in the pavilion of the school, and in the grounds of the cathedral, for the large congregation as well.
