THE INAUGURAL ST JOSEPH AWARD
Presentations at the Seton Catholic College Annual Awards Night on December 10th 2007 included the Inaugural St Joseph Award. The programme booklet included these words of Principal, Mr Egmont Melton:
'In the presentation of our Annual Awards, we are keen to acknowledge the rich history from which Seton draws its strength. This includes both previous and present College patrons: St Emilie de Vialar, St Brendan and St Elizabeth Seton. We would also like to honour those Religious Orders that inspired very special people to give up everything and 'go and teach all nations' (Mt 28:19).
A brief summary of the history of the Srs of St Joseph of the Apparition in Fremantle followed these words in the booklet. The actual Award was presented by Sr Elizabeth, who spoke briefly of the devotion of the Sisters to their patron, St Joseph, before calling up the Year 10 winner.

This event coincided with the installation of a stained glass window of St Emilie in the College chapel, a gift from the Congregation. An image of this was displayed on a screen during the presentation.
